Diabetes which sometimes is referred to as diabetes Mellitus has become a major health problem. We have two main types of the Diabetes; Type 1 diabetes in which the body doesn’t produce insulin and type 2 diabetes where the body does not produce insulin or the insulin which is produced doesn’t work properly.

Actually, there is no cure for diabetes but though with your blood sugar level under control you can live a totally a normal life. However, there are natural remedies for reducing diabetes. This will help you control your blood sugar level.
The below are some food that lowers blood sugar. You also need to consult a doctor for proper diagnosis and treatment.
1) Bitter Gourd
This also called bitter melon is very useful for controlling diabetes because of its glucose low effects. The herb influence the glucose metabolic to all your body instead of focusing on a certain organ. It multiplies pancreatic insulin and controls the insulin resistance in the body. It’s very important for both types of diabetes.
This is powdered cinnamon that has the ability to lower blood sugar levels by stimulating insulin activities. It has bioactive components that can help prevent and fight diabetes.
Several trials show that can work as an effective option to lower blood sugar levels in cases of uncontrolled type 2 diabetes.
However, this should not be taken in excess quantity because we commonly use Cassia cinnamon that has a compound known as coumarin. It’s very toxic and hence increase the risk of liver damages. Another variety of this herb is called Ceylon cinnamon which is safer for health but has effects on blood glucose levels.
This is an herb that can be used in controlling diabetes, improve the glucose tolerance and lastly lower blood sugar levels due to its hypoglycaemic activities. 4) Indian Gooseberry

5) Black Plum or Indian Black Berry
This is also known as Jambul. Can help in controlling blood sugar level because it has anthocyanins, ellagic acid, hydrolysable tannins and others. Every part of the Black plum that is leaves, berry and the seeds are used by those with diabetes. Through the research, it is observed that the fruits and the leaves have hypoglycemic effects since can help reduce blood and urine sugar level. The seeds have glycoside jamboline and alkaloid jambosine which regulate blood sugar level.
6) Mango Leaves
The only tender and delicate mango leaves are used to treat diabetes by regulating insulin levels in the blood. The same herbs can be used to improve blood lipid profiles
Soak about 10 to 15 tender mango leaves in a glass of water for overnight. Morning filters the water and drinks it on an empty stomach.
Another alternative, dry the leaves in a shade and grind into pieces. Eat one-half teaspoon of powdered mango leaves twice daily.
